You’ve read the book; you’ve seen the movie. Now see it live on stage as the Middle School actors of Woodside Priory perform The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, adapted by Joseph Robinette from the novel by C.S. Lewis.
Join the four Pevensie children as they travel to the magical land of Narnia, a land enslaved by the icy White Witch. Quickly they are thrust into an adventure filled with talking beasts, battles, danger, friendship, loss, and hope, and must choose sides in a war between good and evil that only they can tip the balance of. All the characters for the book are here including Mr. Tumnus the faun, Fenris Ulf the terrifying head of the secret police, the White Witch, Aslan, Mr. and Mrs. Beaver, Unicorns, Ogres, Trolls, the Professor, and many more. Don’t miss this enchanting rollercoaster of an adventure!
Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy are sent out of London to the country manor of Professor Kirke. At first it looks as if their time there will be rather boring, as the professor’s housekeeper, Mrs. Macready has forbidden all games and noise. But when the professor suggests a game of hide and seek, and Lucy enters a wardrobe, she finds herself in a different world. Lucy meets and befriends the faun Tumnus, only to learn that Narnia may not be safe for a Daughter of Eve.
Lucy returns with her brother, Edmund, and while she goes off in search of Tumnus, Edmund meets the Witch -- uh -- Queen of Narnia. Edmund falls under her spell. After all four children venture through the wardrobe, Mr. and Mrs. Beaver tell them of the prophecy that two Sons of Adam and two Daughters of Eve will come to Narnia and save it from the perpetual winter -- without Christmas -- of the White Witch.
Edmund, however, sneaks off to the castle of the Witch. There he encounters Fenris Ulf, Captain of the Witch’s Secret Police, and learns that enemies of the “Queen” are turned to stone statues. The other three children set off to meet the Great Lion Aslan, who has been rumored to have returned to Narnia. This sets in motion events that lead to an exciting and climactic battle between the forces of Good and Evil.
