Employment Benefits

Woodside Priory School offers comprehensive and competitive medical, dental, and vision coverage. Priory pays 100% of the cost for employees and 50% of the cost for the dependents they enroll. 

What Do We Offer?

MEDICAL PLANS
Priory offers two generous Medical plans through Kaiser. The plan options available are HMO and HSA, so you can choose a coverage that fits your needs. 

DENTAL INSURANCE
Priory offers two Dental plans with Guardian.  These premium plans include orthodontia for grown-ups too.

VISION INSURANCE
The Kaiser HMO has Vision coverage as part of the medical plan. For those enrolled in the HSA medical plan, Priory offers a plan through VSP that covers exams, lenses & frames. 

LIFE INSURANCE
Priory offers employer-sponsored Life Insurance coverage for all eligible employees.  Priory offers optional Voluntary Supplemental  Life coverage.  

RETIREMENT 
The School will contribute to a retirement fund (TIAA-CREF) for all full-time employees who qualify under the terms of the plan. The  School’s contribution will be as follows:
0 – 5 years of service = 7% of annual salary 
6+ years of service = 10% of annual salary. 

LONG TERM DISABILITY
Priory offers employer-sponsored Long-Term  Disability through Guardian. This is a 100% company paid benefit. 
Commuter & Parking Benefits For our commuters, set aside tax-free money to pay for your commuting expenses.  Benefits may be used for mass transit, ride shares, and qualified paid parking costs.  

FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNTS (FSA)
Priory makes FSA accounts available to help you cover out-of-pocket medical, dental, vision, and dependent care expenses with pre-tax dollars. 

VOLUNTARY ACCIDENT INSURANCE
Priory offers an Accident Insurance policy through Allstate that supplements your medi-cal coverage. 

VOLUNTARY CRITICAL ILLNESS
Two Critical Illness plan options are available through Allstate. A critical Illness policy provides extra security upon diagnosis of a serious illness.

  • Hiring Process

    If you believe you are qualified for an open position, please email a cover letter and resume to the appropriate contact person. Qualified candidates will be contacted for a preliminary interview. Finalists are invited for a full-day interview.

    A typical full-day interview for a teaching candidate consists of an interview with the corresponding department, a demo lesson, and closes with interviews with the administration team.
  • Professional Development

    School-wide professional development runs throughout the school year with the goal of supporting and guiding teachers to innovate, evaluate, and reflect on teaching practices. From studying Benedictine identity to implementing Learning Competencies into the classroom experience, Priory's in-house PD has encouraged teachers to approach their craft with a growth mindset, which strongly connects with the school's
    mission and 21st century learning competency goals.

    Beyond in-house professional development, Priory also supports faculty in developing their professional practice in general as well as specific discipline interest areas that align with the school’s mission and goals.

    Priory encourages all faculty to pursue PD opportunities in areas of Benedictine education, leadership, innovation, diversity, curriculum development and educational technology. Some
    examples include:
    • Annual NAIS conference
    • Annual POCIS/ White Privilege Conference
    • Annual BLSS summer PD at Saint Anselm College
    • Benedictine Education Conferences, both national and international
    • CATDC workshops
