August 11 - September 26

I began my interest in photography at a very young age, using my father’s box camera and developing pictures in the dusty cellar of our house in New Jersey. My interest grew throughout my high school and college years, but really matured when I joined as a monk of St. Anselm Abbey in Manchester, New Hampshire. Later, upon my arrival at Woodside Priory School, I became the school photographer and eventually created a curriculum for my many years as a photography teacher.

I often reminded my students that a good photographer is a person who is able to see what others may not, and discover things that are worth seeing. The photographs in this exhibit are of many things that have caught my eye, hoping to capture a story or a mood that might engage the viewer to imagine their story or to question what might be behind that dark window, to see children at play, or the majesty of nature in full bloom. I invite you to enter into these photographs and let them take you where they will.
