Events & Visits

There’s no substitute for experiencing Priory in person. Step into our classrooms, meet our students and teachers, and feel the energy of a community where learning, creativity, and belonging come alive. Whether you’re walking our redwood-lined pathways, sitting in on a class, or joining a virtual session from home, you’ll discover what makes Priory such a vibrant place to learn and grow.

Families can explore Priory through a variety of options—Open Houses, parent tours, student shadow days, and virtual events—all available through our Ravenna portal. Setting up a Ravenna account gives you access to event registration as well as your personalized admissions checklist.

When creating your account, please use an email address you’ll keep long-term, as it will be used for all admissions communications. We encourage each parent/guardian to register separately so that everyone receives important updates.

  • Parent Tours

    Join a member of our Admission Team for a guided look at life at Priory. We’ll begin in the Performing Arts Center Lobby, located in Father Egon Plaza just across from the main parking lot, where coffee will be available before we set out. Together, we’ll walk through classrooms, community spaces, and gathering spots that reflect the daily rhythm of our school.

    All events require advance registration through Ravenna.

  • Open Houses

    Priory Open Houses are a chance for students and families to experience our community firsthand. These outdoor, in-person events invite you to connect with teachers, meet current families, and explore campus at your own pace—focusing on the areas that matter most to you.

    Each Open House begins with a warm welcome from our Head of School, Patrick Ruff, followed by a panel of current students who share their own Priory stories and experiences. From there, the day opens up for you to discover more about academics, arts, athletics, and student life in a way that feels personal and meaningful.

  • Campus Visit Days

    There’s no better way for prospective students to picture themselves at Priory than by spending a full school day on campus. During a Visit Day—often called a “shadow day”—your student will be paired with a current Priory student and follow their class schedule. This authentic experience allows visitors to see our classrooms in action, meet teachers, and get a feel for the rhythm of student life.

    Because each day is unique, visiting students may join a class taking a quiz or test. If so, we encourage them to bring a book to enjoy during that time.

  • International Visitors

    If you are a boarding applicant visiting from afar and cannot make one of the scheduled events, please email Nils Leitz, Director of Residential Admissions, at admissions@prioryca.org, and we will ensure that you can see campus!
