Summer Programs 2023

Summer Seminar Philosophy

Priory Summer Programming is growing! We are very excited to introduce a summer program that offers a wide variety of enriching academic seminars and immersive sports camp opportunities. Priory opens its campus with excitement to our Summer Program that invites all students to register and join us on campus. Priory students, community members, friends, future Panthers… Now is your time to come experience what Woodside Priory has to offer.

Priory Summer Enrichment Seminars are designed to be engaging, meaningful, and stress-free ways of exploring a range of fascinating topics with fantastic Priory Faculty and teachers from around the Bay Area. There are no grades, no tests, and no homework!

Instead each seminar will offer illuminating conversations and novel activities for new, returning, and prospective Priory students who want to learn for learning's sake.

Our Summer Enrichment Seminars are being offered to students raising into 4th grade - 9th grade in the Fall of 2023. Seminars are differentiated and separated based on grade level to assure students are receiving information that feels applicable and exciting to them.
4th - 6th grade students will be grouped together for seminars
7th - 9th grade students will be grouped together for seminars.
Within those classes instructors can differentiate content in order to meet the needs of each student.

New to Priory this year is Summer Sports camps! These camps are being offered at a range of levels. In these camps students will learn fundamentals and develop their skills while building confidence, being competitive, and enjoying the facilities that Woodside Priory has to offer.

Our coaches look forward to providing fun, challenging, and skill building camps that encourage students to explore new sports and build on the ones they already are passionate about.

Summer Sports camps are being offered to students rising into 4th grade through Seniors in the Fall of 2023.  Sports camps are being offered various weeks and work with students based on their skill level. Camps will also be cognizant of the grade levels students are entering into to assure they have camaraderie with peers of similar age.

4th grade students will not be in a camp with students higher than raising 6th graders
6th grade students will not be with students higher than raising 8th grade students

The only exception to this would be for Hiking Camp in which all grades and levels are combined.

Our program allows for families to build out their ideal summer days. Below is our attached block scheduling of how Summer Program days are run. Families are encouraged to build a summer camp day that feels most exciting for the student. Students are welcomed and encouraged to register for Summer Seminars and Summer Sport Camps in combination or stick to full days of Summer Seminars and Summer Sport Camps.

When registering your students and noting their grade level, please click the grade they will be in for the 23-24 school year to assure the right filtered classes will show up for them during registration.

Please pay close attention to the grade level the seminar and sport camp listing will be offered when making selections. For sports camps that have two “+ skill level” noted, please do your best to evaluate how long your student has played the sport and which skill level would benefit not only their growth but interest in the sport.

Our summer programs and camps will be staffed by both our regular school teachers and local community educators and coaches. As those seminar instructors and camp coaches are announced we will pass along the information to the public.
