Priory Graduates 8th Grade and Class of 2020 in One of a Kind Ceremonies

Following guidelines set by the San Mateo County Health Officer regarding specifically graduation ceremonies, Priory celebrated their students with a first ever “vehicle based graduation” which looked and had the feeling of a classic drive-in theater.

Cars decorated with photos, messages, balloons, and streamers, parked in designated spots on the Kovacs field that ensured everyone had a good view of the three large screens broadcasting the ceremony.

Masked students were allowed to exit their vehicles one at a time as their names were called and festive upbeat music filled the air as they made their way to the stage. The entire ceremony was broadcast via livestream so loved ones could watch from afar. The Upper School Graduation and Middle School Graduation livestreams are available for viewing.

For most students, this was the first time seeing their classmates in person, so it meant a lot that they were able to celebrate together, even if it was from within a car.

Congratulations to the Class of 2020 and Class of 2024!
