Welcome… or welcome back… to Priory! The 2011-12 school year is off and running. This year we have a huge group of new kids – 21 total – that have brought a lot of new energy and spirit to the dorms. It’s been exciting to watch them get to know each other and make friends. Everyone seems to be getting along wonderfully so far.
The Prefects led us through some great get-to-know-you activities during the first couple nights of orientation here in the dorms. They planned out games to help people learn names and get to know more about where people were from, what they like to do, and more. This first weekend, we packed it full of fun activities for the kids so they could continue to get to know each other. We spent a lot of time cooling off down at the pool, we went on a couple of hikes, and we took kids to the always popular Laserquest in Mountain View for a night of lasertag. We also threw in some trips to Target and Stanford Mall to get supplies and dress up clothes for some of the kids.
Overall, it’s been a great first week and a half. Below are some pictures. It’s going to be a great school year!
